Meet the boys!

Today is all about preparing for Kennedy arriving tomorrow. It's all been very exciting and we even got a choice of stable - I'm never good at decisions so that took some thinking through but thankfully as always Kenners's mum came through with some good advice and we've chosen the stable next to the lovely Rocky!

Also today I've been spending a bit of time with the boys. Getting to know them better. So I thought I'd take this opportunity to introduce them all.

I'll start with Syd:

Who particularly likes a good back scratch and who I had a little go at long reining (first time ever) today!  This is him with his mum, Debbie, having a right good scratch!  He's a cheeky monkey but he was a good boy for me when I had a go at long reining him! And we managed 3 whole laps of the yard!

Next, say hi to Rocky;

Lovely Rocky is very calm and kind and let me lead him back to the field with no problem at all. What a gent!  He will also be Kennedy's next door neighbour in Mr K's new stable:

(He'll be on the right).

Finally, meet Prince. He's still quite young and very friendly - he likes to come over and say 'hi!' when you come into the field. It will take some time for me to feel confident around him as I've never been around younger horses! But I know we will get used to each other soon enough!

For the first few days, Kennedy will be in a field with Syd while he gets used to Prince and Rocky on the other side of the fence. I'll keep you updated on how it's all going!
